The Library’s in the concession stand business for a few track and ballgames. We’re also sponsoring the one at the Lyndon Help House fund raiser bluegrass concert/raffle. Help House Inc. has announced the Ready Brothers and the Banner Creek Band will perform during the Fill the Pantry event 7 p.m. May 1 at Lyndon High School. The Bluegrass bands are performing all over northeast Kansas to help raise money for pantries. A fee will be charged for admission. In conjunction with the concert, Help House will be hosting a silent auction. Many items have already been collected including pool passes to area pools, American Girl doll, K U basketball signed by this year’s players, K-State basketball signed by the Coach Frank Martin, Stampin’ Up supplies, jewelry, Silver Dollar City tickets, high pressure washer, $50 savings bond, Thriftway gift certificates, gift certificates to local restaurants and more items. Help House is a non-profit Christian organization founded by the churches of Osage County. Its purpose is to provide emergency assistance for the basic needs of individuals and families in our county.
Anyone in need of food or clothing is encouraged to contact the organization. For more information, contact Help House at (785) 828-4888 or 614 Topeka Ave, Lyndon.
