June 2 – 2-4 pm – Sign-Up & Receive Reading Log.  Outdoor Games at the Library (unless raining)

June 9 – 1 pm – MOVIE DAY.  Vote for a kid’s movie at the library anytime.  Another movie at 6 pm for the older crowd:  the new “Alice in Wonderland”.  Bring your pillow.  Popcorn & drink provided.

June 16, 1 pm – Milford Nature Centers and their slimy creatures at CITY HALL. Enter through west doors.

June 23. 12:30 – Osage County Sheriff’s program – Fun and Water Safety.  Door prizes!

June 30, 10:30 am – Matt Miller, Ch. 49 weatherman – weather/tornadoes program.  Bring a sack lunch & stay, AFTERWARDS showing “WIZARD of OZ” movie. Popcorn & drink provided.

July 7, 7:30 pm – POOL PARTY at Lyndon City Pool.  Ice Cream treats. Must complete one reading log to receive pool pass to attend.  Registered summer readers admit free, other guests must pay $1.00.

We’re also sponsoring the one at the Lyndon Help House fund raiser bluegrass concert/raffle.   Help House Inc. has announced the Ready Brothers and the Banner Creek Band will perform during the Fill the Pantry event 7 p.m. May 1 at Lyndon High School.  The Bluegrass bands are performing all over northeast Kansas to help raise money for pantries. A fee will be charged for admission.  In conjunction with the concert, Help House will be hosting a silent auction. Many items have already been collected including pool passes to area pools, American Girl doll, K U basketball signed by this year’s players, K-State basketball signed by the Coach Frank Martin, Stampin’ Up supplies, jewelry, Silver Dollar City tickets, high pressure washer, $50 savings bond, Thriftway gift certificates, gift certificates to local restaurants and more items. Help House is a non-profit Christian organization founded by the churches of Osage County. Its purpose is to provide emergency assistance for the basic needs of individuals and families in our county.
Anyone in need of food or clothing is encouraged to contact the organization.
